BRANDING and PACKAGING DESIGN

Title: LIZA’S Beauty Supplies

For one month I set out each day to design a logo. These logos where of my choosing. Some logos where better than others. For this project I redesigned the logo I created for Liza’s Beauty Supplies. The name Liza was from a couple of tv shows I watched while designing the original logo. However, when I was designing this typographic logo, I wanted to model the typographic letterforms from the general happy personality the name exudes.  The original logo was more reliant on icons, where this logo is heavily typographic. Once the logo was finished I wanted to create a brand that conveyed the playful and bright nature of the typographic letters. These products are for all who just need something quick and easy to use throughout the day. I chose to base the cosmetics in New York City because I feel it is one place where everything is sharp and edgy. I wanted my cosmetics to have an organic feel to them, so people could get a sense of nature and all the things organic when they use these products and enter this atmosphere. I made my products have a fruit flavor to them because it aides to the organic and overall positive feel of the brand. I wanted the users to relax in this store, so I used a lot of pastels and bright colors on some of the packaging. For the social media I used Facebook and Instagram to reach both older and younger audiences that would be interested in Liza’s Beauty Supplies.
