LOGO DESIGN
Title: HUNGER HACKED
I volunteered to be a Freelance Graphic Designer at Ohio University’s Start Up Weekend 2016 to assist three “companies” competing for funding to design a logo. Startup weekend is when teams/small businesses design how they will function as a business, their mission, who makes up the business, how they will generate revenue, etc. The team logo presented here (Hunger Hacked) is what I designed for the winning team. Their ultimate goal for the company they created was to recycle traditional recipes and turn them into something new and exciting. I chose a darker and lighter green color palette to convey the interchangeable quality of the food being recycled. The darker color in the logo represents the traditional recipe and the lighter green represents the newer quality of the food. I created a book, business card and lunch bag. I intertwined the H logo with both colors. On these pieces there are pictures of food combinations. I used dark green crosshatching on all items, at a variety of transparencies, to emphasize the aspects of Hunger Hacked such as recycling recipes and the exciting nature of the food.
